Ecstatic Dance is an opportunity to connect with your body and community with free form expressive dance. We will be honoring the container of the space, which includes:
✨ limiting conversation on the dance floor, there will be a designated space and time to chat💖
✨ we invite you to explore the shoe-less experience of dancing barefoot on the Earth👣
✨this is a substance free event

 

Schedule:

6:30 PM Doors open to allow space to settle in.

7 PM Connection Circle, where we will be connecting to our breath, our bodies, our community, and the music, flowing into our open dance journey.

9 PM Closing Circle

 

Mr Atwood is a Brooklyn based dubstep producer and DJ who has been producing for about 2 years and  DJing for almost 10. He has always found an interest in mixing different genres of music to bring people with different musical interests together. Mr Atwood found a love for the rollercoaster that ecstatic dance offers. Combining the flow of ecstatic dance and the fusion of different genres, Mr Atwood enjoys creating a space for people to dance freely, openly and as hard as they can.

The dream of Quiet Hours was birthed out of love for community and the desire to dance. We originally came together in a trailer park deep in the Hudson Valley. We started because we wanted to be able to provide an outlet for our friends in the trailer park after "quiet hours" that the neighbors wouldn't complain about. It started with dancing but quickly evolved into the creative arenas we are exploring today.

We still know how to throw the best dance party in town, but our passion is providing unique and mindful experiences in every realm. In addition to festivals, parties and weddings we also offer services for ecstatic dance, yoga, meditation and yoga nidra to name a few. We are always looking for creative partners with crazy ideas that will help propel this equipment to another level.

Mostly we just want to dance.
