Join Cape Ann Plein Air and Rocky Neck Art Colony for a Culture Splash Paint Out on Rocky Neck. Kids, we’ve got art for you with Art Haven too! 

 

Thursday, July 30, 2026 

 

Here's what you need to know:

•    3pm Artist Check-in at Rocky Neck Art Colony Cultural Center, 6 Wonson St, Gloucester, MA

  • All artists must have their canvases stamped.

• 4pm-6pm | Artists Paint 

  • May begin painting anytime after 3pm checkin

• 6pm- 6:30pm Artists return to Madfish Wharf 

  • Work set up for judging by 6:30 at the latest. 

• Competition artwork

  • One framed painting

  • Displayed on your easel

  • Labeled (will be provided)

• Judging from 6:30-6:45

  • Winners will be announced at 6:45pm

• All work may be for sale by artist!

   KID’S EVENT WITH CAPE ANN ART HAVEN

• 4-6 pm Come create plein air pastels on the deck at the Ice Cream Gallery, 39 Rocky Neck Ave, Gloucester, MA

• All supplies provided by Art Haven!

• This is a not-a-drop-off event, Parent supervision is required.
  

• Parking & Restrooms
  There is street parking across Rocky Neck and a municipal lot at the entrance of Rocky Neck.

• Restrooms available at the Rocky Neck Cultural Center.
  
  By registering for Cape Ann Plein Air, participants grant permission for photographs of themselves and their artwork to be used by Cape Ann Plein Air in online and print publications, promotional materials, social media, and event communications.
