Description
Make a splash on June 13 at Super Saturday: Egg Carton Fishies, a playful art activity inspired by aquatic imagery in the museum’s Permanent Collection, including the whimsical piece Fins and Feathers. Young artists will use egg cartons, paint, string, and googly eyes to craft their own colorful, sculptural fish—perfect for hanging at home.
This upcycled project encourages imagination, sustainability, and a closer look at how animals like fish show up in art across cultures and time periods. Every fish is a one-of-a-kind catch!
Ideal for ages 5–12. All materials provided.
Registration is required. Space is limited—reserve your spot early!
Major annual support for Museum Education is provided by the Windgate Foundation, City of Memphis, First Horizon Foundation, Tennessee Arts Commission, National Endowment for the Arts, ARTSmemphis, and the Urban Child Institute.
