Description

Kick off Pride Month with rhythm and creativity at Super Saturday: Pride Tambourines on June 6! In this joyful, hands-on workshop, we will celebrate by crafting our own paper plate tambourines using string, bells, markers, and a hole puncher.

Young artists can personalize their instruments with colors inspired by different Pride flags—like the traditional rainbow, transgender, non-binary, and other community flags—while learning what those colors represent. Once decorated, kids can shake, rattle, and roll in celebration of identity, unity, and love.

Perfect for ages 5–12. All materials provided.

Registration is required. Spaces are limited—sign up early to join the celebration!

Major annual support for Museum Education is provided by the Windgate Foundation, City of Memphis, First Horizon Foundation, Tennessee Arts Commission, National Endowment for the Arts, ARTSmemphis, and the Urban Child Institute.
