Join us for this Super Saturday inspired by the incredible legacy Memphis-area printmakers like Fred Burton and Maritza Dávila Irizarry. Participants will explore Memphis artists' prints in the exhibtiion Memphis College of Art, 1936-2020: An Enduring Legacy, and then make a styrafoam print of their own!
Using styrofoam, ink, and paper, you'll learn simple printmaking techniques to create bold, expressive prints that reflect themes of identity, empowerment, and cultural pride—just as Catlett did through her groundbreaking art.
Ideal for ages 5–12. All materials provided.Come celebrate art, history, and creativity with us!
