Description
On June 20, dive into creativity with Super Saturday: Saltwater Paintings, a hands-on artmaking experience inspired by the powerful photography in the exhibition Bodies of Water by David Uzochukwu. Using watercolor paint, salt, and watercolor paper, kids will create their own dreamy waterscapes filled with movement, mood, and texture.
As the salt interacts with the watercolor, magical patterns emerge—mimicking the rhythms and currents of the sea. Participants can even add mermaids or aquatic creatures to bring their ocean scenes to life!
Ideal for ages 5–12. All materials provided.
Registration is required. Spots are limited—sign up early to make a splash!
Major annual support for Museum Education is provided by the Windgate Foundation,
City of Memphis, First Horizon Foundation, Tennessee Arts Commission,
