Join us for Super Saturday: Shapes and Colors on January 17 and explore the power of simplicity in art. Inspired by Josef Albers’ iconic Homage to the Square—on view in the museum’s Permanent Collection—this hands-on activity invites young artists to create their own geometric compositions using just three lines and two squares.
With paper, rulers, markers, and colored pencils, participants will discover how shape, spacing, and color choices can turn basic forms into striking visual statements. This workshop is ideal for ages 5–12 and encourages experimentation, creativity, and a fresh appreciation for abstract art.
