Fall is finally here and we're excited for the cooler weather and slower pace! This also means bolder and more brooding wines :) Perfect time to taste some of the best of Tuscany.
Our inspiration for this tasting has its roots in the fascinating history of winemaking in Tuscany. Historically, Chianti (100% Sangiovese grape) has been the star of the show in the region. However, starting in the 1970s many Tuscan winemakers started to blend international varieties, like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with the native Sangiovese. This controversial move is the basis for the winemaking revolution that has occurred ever since and brought us so many amazing new wines. We can't wait to teach you more and taste these wines with you!
This event will be hosted by two Tuscan wine specialists from our friends at Winebow, who will taste us through 6 different wines and teach us more about their unique history and winemaking styles.
The specialists will be pouring 6 x 2oz pours so we can offer a wider breadth of wines to you, so as to cover more of what Tuscany has to offer. As you arrive you will receive your first tasting at the bar on the way to our garden to begin your tasting adventure.
Now being the beginning of Spooky Season, who says it's too early to dress up!? Come as your favorite (Super Tuscan) Superhero or in whatever costume or disguise strikes your fancy :)
