Do you wish you knew more about gardening in a changing climate? This workshop, presented by Master Gardeners Sharon Mascia and Ellen Scarr, and assisted by Sonoma Ecology Center's Native Plant Nursery Manager Hannah Aclufi, will focus on the efficient use of water in order to plant and maintain a beautiful, sustainable garden in the North Bay Area.

Topics covered will include where our water comes from, how and when to water, waterwise and California native plants, the role of soil health in conserving water, mulching, and conservative use of water for vegetable gardens. 

This workshop is put on through a collaboration between Sonoma Ecology Center and the UC Master Gardeners of Sonoma County. In case of rain, the workshop will be rescheduled. For questions, please contact Hannah at hannah@sonomaecologycenter.org.

¿Deseas saber más acerca de cómo mantener un jardín en un clima cambiante? Este taller, presentado por Sharon Mascia y Ellen Scarr, jardineras expertas (a través del programa Master Gardeners), asistidas por Hannah Aclufi, gerente del vivero de plantas nativas en Sonoma Garden Park, se enfocará en el uso de agua eficiente para plantar y mantener un bello, sostenible jardín en el Norte de la Bahía.Cubrirán temas como de dónde proviene nuestra agua, cuándo regar, plantas que ayudan a conservar agua y plantas nativas Californianas, el papel de tierra saludable en la conservación de agua, cómo utilizar mantillos, y el uso conservativo de agua para jardines de hortalizas.
