Inspira Dance and the International Club of DC invites you to dance the night away to a swing dance band after swing dance lessons in Georgetown as you make new friends! A partner or dance experience are not needed to attend, so join us on your own or with friends to enjoy a night of dancing. Our live band, Starting Early, brings to life the sounds of the British Invasion and beyond performing classic hits and modern favorites with a swinging rhythm that will have you dancing the night away.

Wine, cocktails, and other drinks will be available to purchase. When you arrive, please find us in the upstairs ballroom of Pinstripes.

Swing dance lessons

The evening starts with swing dance lessons! We will show you how to swing dance even if you've never danced before! Come by yourself or invite your friends to join us, as a partner is not needed to take part in the swing dance lessons.

Attend on Your own or with Friends

You are welcome to attend on your own or with friends! This is a wonderful opportunity to network and socialize with other Inspira and International Club of DC members as you make new friends.

What should I wear?

Cocktail attire recommended. Vintage-inspired dressy attire encouraged! Guests are encouraged to come dressed in vintage or vintage-inspired attire to match the spirit of the night! From swing skirts and suspenders to classic cocktail dresses and bow ties, have fun dressing the part or simply join us as you are.
