Hawaii’s very own Gypsy 808 was inspired by the music of world-renowned guitarist Django Reinhardt and Le Quintette du Hot Club de France, playing mainly swing dance music of the 30’s and 40’s in the gypsy jazz style. As swing was popular in Hawai’i during that era, Gypsy 808 often includes some hapa-haole numbers featuring lead guitarist Emmett Mahoney on lap steel guitar. Many of their signature tunes are from the Great American Songbook, but several composed by Reinhardt and others are unique to gypsy jazz. The band also plays many newer tunes inspired by the Hot Club style.
Featured on vocals and ukulele is international award-winning jazz singer Nikki Dee (née DeCaires), recently returned to her native Hawai’i. Born on Maui and raised on O’ahu, Nikki moved from Honolulu to Lyon, France at the age of 17 and spent the next decades living and performing throughout the US and abroad. Her most recent international adventures include featured performances in Japan, Taiwan, Australia, and France.

VIP tables for 2 , 4, 5, and 6 are available. VIP seats have superior placement and are sold on a per-table basis. Additional seats are available at the door If you want to squeeze in extra seats at your table.
You will need to BRING YOUR OWN SEATING for Picnic (General admission) tickets. You may bring your own blankets and or beach chairs and find your own spot anywhere in the parking lot behind the VIP tables. You are not limited to the general admission seating chart. You may bring children under age 11 for free picnic seating. There will be a charge for anyone that occupies a seat at the VIP tables. We are pet friendy. Friendly pets are allowed at the concert but we reserve the right to remove unruly animals (including humans).
