Description
The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities announced their Request for Applciations (RFA) for their Arts and Humanities Fellowship Program (AHFP) grant. Taffety Punk will be hosting a workshop led by Marcus Kyd to help artists navigate these crazy forms, the artistic narratives, and other DC Agency registrations that are required. It’s free. And we probably have room for about twenty.
Taffety Punk Grant Writing Workshop
at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop
545 7th Street SE Washington, DC 20003
July 6, 2-4pm
The Fellowship program is an unrestricted grant opportunity for any DC artist in these mediums: Dance, Design Arts, Go-Go Musician, Humanities, Interdisciplinary, Media Arts, Music, Teaching Artists, Theatre, Visual Arts. An unrestricted grant is just that. It is not tied to a project. They just want you to live and keep making art and doing your work in DC. Awards can be anywhere from $3,000 to $10,000.
We want every artist to apply. If you are a resident of DC, and in good standing with the DC Gov't (i.e. do not owe any back taxes), and an artist, you are eligible.
The information on the grant application is here:https://dcarts.dc.gov/page/arts-and-humanities-fellowship-program
The workshop is on July 6. The deadline for this grant is July 16, at 10pm.
