Join us for an elegant afternoon exploring a collection of exceptional wines selected for the holiday season.

This special tasting features four remarkable wines—from celebrated producers and world-class vineyards—each thoughtfully paired with artisan cheeses chosen to highlight the character and complexity of every pour. Along the way, we'll share the stories behind the wines, what makes them extraordinary, and simple pairing insights you can use throughout the holiday season.

Whether you're searching for the perfect bottle to grace your holiday table, looking for memorable gifts, or simply wanting to experience some truly outstanding wines, this relaxed and intimate tasting is designed to delight both seasoned enthusiasts and curious newcomers alike.

Spend an hour sipping, savoring, and celebrating the season with the team from Euphoric Cheese Shop and Sparrow Wine Bar.

On the cheese side…
Amy Burritt, co-owner of Euphoric Cheese Shop and Sparrow Wine Bar, brings her deep-rooted love of cheese to the table. Raised in a family of specialty food lovers (her parents founded South Slope Cheese Co. in Asheville), Amy has a knack for making cheese both approachable and endlessly interesting. Expect a few laughs, some great stories, and at least one “you have to try this” moment—especially if you ask what she’s loving right now.

On the wine side…
Mandy Glenn, your guide through the glass and bartender at Sparrow, pours with equal parts knowledge and enthusiasm. Her curiosity about wine—from the people behind it to the flavors in your glass—is infectious. She’ll have you noticing things you’ve never quite tasted before… and probably wanting another sip.

How it Works

We’ll taste, chat, and enjoy our way through all four pairings together. When we wrap up, the wine bar will open for regular service at 3pm—so you’re welcome to stay, order a glass, and keep the afternoon going.

The Details

When: Saturday, December 5th, 1:30–2:30pm -- doors open at 1:15pm (you're welcome to peruse the cheese shop if you arrive earlier!)
Where: Sparrow Wine Bar, 141 W. End Avenue, Knoxville, TN
Cost: $79 per person + taxes/fees (gratuity included)

We’ve designed Sparrow with your comfort and relaxation in mind, including leather sofas, velvet chairs, cushioned bar seats, soft lighting, warm colors and an unpretentious approach to wine and cheese.

Sparrow is a place where you can meet with friends and loved ones, or bring a book or journal and find the space for leisure. We keep the music volume low enough so you can engage in conversation or let your mind wander.

On the wine list you’ll find 80+ wines from around the world, plus beer, cider and non-alcoholic beverages.

Our food menu features small bites, cheese flights, grilled cheese sandwiches, charcuterie boards and a selection of decadent desserts, including our popular Dessert Board.

On those perfect-weather days, our patio is an excellent space to share a bottle of wine — and dogs are welcome on the patio too.

There’s no need to make reservations — our seating is first-come, first-served.
