Lorna Larsen RN, BScN, President of national charity Team Shan Breast Cancer Awareness for Young Women (Team Shan) will be speaking to teens at the Centennial Library in Fort Erie on Thursday, October 2nd at 4:15pm. Team Shan is named after Lorna's daughter Shanna (Shan). Shan was only 24 when she lost her life to breast cancer. In Shan's memory Lorna speaks in high schools, community events and on college and university campuses across Canada. Team Shan is dedicated to reaching young women with their breast cancer risk and breast health information. Through funding from the Quad Niagara ATV Club, Team Shan will be hosting a breast cancer awareness campaign targeting young women across Niagara Region during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. No registration required.
