Description
Teen Writers Fest is a celebration of original theatre created by Kansas City–area high school playwrights.
Each year, young writers develop new plays through Spinning Tree Theatre’s Teen Writers Program, working alongside professional playwrights, directors, and designers. What begins as an idea on the page becomes a fully staged production — performed by a talented ensemble of young actors.
This year’s festival features three original one-act plays, offering audiences a powerful look at the creativity, imagination, and perspective of the next generation of theatre artists.

Each play was developed with professional mentorship and brought to life through an inclusive, collaborative rehearsal process.
