Description

This engagement session will be a collective conversation about how we can best support you and each other as part of the Emergency Food Network in Brighton and Hove.

This is a space where we can talk through:

  • The work we’ve been doing to enhance collaboration and explore improvements to how food is sourced, stored and redistributed around the city (“Beyond Food Banks”)
  • The support we offer you, and how we can tailor it to your needs, including meetings, training, the website, the survey, the google group and one-to-one support and engagement
  • Your ideas for a celebration event. Last year our survey found that you as a network give 3,400 hours a week of time in volunteering! That is massive. Whether you’re a staff member or a volunteer we appreciate how challenging this work can be and we want to celebrate five years of coming together as a community to support our city in these tough times.

Teas, coffees and cake provided

A £20 food voucher per organisation will be provided as recognition for your time and ideas.

We’re aware not everyone will be able to make the meeting, especially as it is not a hybrid meeting, though please encourage as many of your colleagues, coworkers and neighbouring local projects to come as you can! If you can't make it but want to feed back, please contact joanna@bhfood.org.uk to have a 1-1 chat with Jo. There will also be a question about our support in our annual survey to gather more feedback to contribute to the plan going forward.

If you can't come, please cancel your ticket to allow space for others. Please do not come if you think you may have a transmissible infection.

If you have any issues with finding us on the day please call Emma on 07342987667
