Thank you to the Emergency Food Network! (Free Event)
The Emergency Food Network brings together projects providing food to people experiencing food insecurity (facilitated by the Brighton and Hove Food Partnership). Five years since the covid-19 pandemic, 12 years since the network was founded, and many more years since Brighton's first food banks, we want to say a massive thank you. We want to say thank you to you, whether you’re a hard-working staff member or one of the volunteers who donate over 2,000 hours a week, we recognise the challenges of this work, and we want to celebrate what you give.
If you work or volunteer for a food bank, community shop, pantry, affordable food project, meals-on-wheels service, community lunch provider or voucher service we want to see you there, whether you've been part of the network in the past or not.
Join us for an evening of celebration and connection, with games, a live DJ, canapes, drinks, and craft and wellbeing activities.
The Hilton DoubleTree Hotel in Brighton, have generously donated space and catering for this event, and we are incredibly grateful for their support in making this evening possible.
This event is all about you — our amazing volunteers — and the time, energy, and compassion you've given to help others. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
Please register your details for this event so that we know you're coming, and make sure you note who else will be coming with you! It's entirely free to attend.
Please do inform us of any dietary requirements or allergies, particularly nut allergies. If any are airborne, it’s important we know in advance. While we take every precaution during food preparation, our kitchen does handle all major allergens, and we do serve cookies containing nuts at hotel check-in. If you have a disability or specific evacuation needs please also register this in the form.
