The Alaska Salmon Bake, which is one of the oldest single family owned restaurants in Fairbanks, was started by Rick Winther in 1979. Rick is a 4th Generation Alaskan who comes from a long line of fisherman and wonderful home cooks. Wanting to share his love of fresh fish and great food with the rest of the interior, he opened “The Bake” which became an instant Summertime tradition for locals and visitors alike.

The Annual Pioneer Park Wine Mixer & Salmon Jam is BACK for our fifth year! We'll have more than 20 beer, wine and cocktail tasting tents, live bands + DJs Tony Taylor and Lex the Siren, swag bags, a super cool trophy for the fan favorite booth, and just an all around good time!
