In The Aging Brain, licensed clinical neuropsychologist Dr. Matt Holcomb shares practical, research-based insights into how the brain changes throughout the aging process and what you can do to support lifelong cognitive health.

Drawing on more than a decade of experience evaluating brain function across the lifespan, Dr. Holcomb explains the science of aging in a way that is engaging, understandable, and relevant to everyday life.

In this program, you will learn:

  • The difference between normal age-related memory changes and signs of cognitive impairment

  • Common causes of memory loss, including dementia and stroke

  • Factors that support brain health and cognitive resilience

About Matt: Dr. Holcomb is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist with over a decade of specialized experience evaluating how brain function impacts behavior, learning, and daily life across the lifespan.

After earning a Ph.D. in School Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Neuropsychology from Ball State University in 2012, Dr. Holcomb completed advanced clinical training at the London Health Sciences Centre and a two-year pediatric neuropsychology fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Dr. Holcomb maintains active clinical licenses in Louisiana and Mississippi, conducting 200 to 300 evaluations annually. This extensive clinical practice serves patients of all ages, addressing complex conditions such as ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and concussions in children, as well as memory loss, stroke, and dementia in adults.

Dedicated to training the next generation of healthcare professionals, Dr. Holcomb has held faculty appointments at several institutions, including serving as an Assistant Professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology at Xavier of New Orleans. In addition to teaching doctoral-level courses in neuropsychology and psychological assessment, Dr. Holcomb is an active researcher. He has published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, presented research globally, and served on the editorial boards of prominent academic publications.

Preservation Fee
A $3.00 preservation fee is included in all non-movie ticketed service fees. This contribution directly supports the ongoing care and preservation of the historic Wallace Theater building—helping ensure that it remains a vibrant home for arts, culture, and community for the next 100 years.

A $1.00 preservation fee is included in all movie event tickets.

*Please note: all ticket service fees include both a processing fee and a preservation fee.

 

Family Seating Policy
For the comfort and safety of all guests:

  • Strollers and car seats are not permitted inside the theater.
  • Children over 1 year of age require their own ticket.
  • Children under 1 year may attend free of charge when seated on a guardian's lap.
  • If a child becomes disruptive during the performance, we reserve the right to ask parents or guardians to step out into the lobby with them until they are settled.

Encore: 7 or more shows = 15% discount*

Spotlight: 5–6 shows = 10% discount*

Premiere: 3–4 shows = 5% discount*

  • All tickets for your selected shows/events must be purchased at the same time to qualify for a package and receive the discount.
  • Discounts apply only to the shows you include in your package.
  • Only Wallace Theater shows are eligible for package discounts.

All ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred.
