The Jewish Food Lab of Wilshire Boulevard Temple presents Rabbi Steve Leder, Bagel Connoisseur Sam Silverman, New York’s “Bagel Ambassador” and founder of BagelFestNY, and Nick Schreiber, one of the founders of LA’s Belle’s Bagels, discuss the iconic bagel. Learn about the bagel’s humble beginnings and the renaissance it is having on both coasts (and everywhere in between).

Sam will be bringing along bagels from New York’s own Utopia Bagels and Belle’s Bagels of Los Angeles will be offering bagel samples to decide which bagel is best and is it really about the water?

This event promises to leave no holes in the American bagel story.

Home of some of New York City's best bagels, Utopia Bagels has been a staple in Whitestone since 1981. Their traditional hand-rolled, kettle-boiled, and carousel oven-baked bagels have garnered a loyal following.
