50 years ago, on Thanksgiving night in 1976, Americana Rock pioneers The Band would take the stage for what would be their final concert. Captured by film director Martin Scorsese, this enormous occurrence would be witnessed, captured, & shared world wide for over 5 decades. Since that day when the film debut, professional musicians & lovers of this concert would recreate it for both artistic or even charitable significance.
Since 2023, ROSTAFA & CO. have brought this one of a kind Thanksgiving tradition to the town of Montclair to help those in need during the holiday season. Raising over $15,000, this event has become the biggest concert fundraiser of the entire year. North NJ musicians, including those from Montclair, recreate the magic & brilliance of a timeless classic of honor American music that shaped the 20th Century & beyond.
On Saturday November 7th, live once again from Montclair Art Museum's Leir Hall, that timeless, Thanksgiving tradition returns. Featuring the largest ensemble to every perform this event in the United States, will once again be raising money for the 501C3 non-profit organization Toni's Kitchen. More than just a soup kitchen, they help those in need with food, clothing, & resources to live dignified & honorable lives. The work must continue to remind our community that no one is forgotten, neglected, or rejected. Come 1, come all, to The 50th Anniversary of The Band's Last Waltz!!!
