Leave While the Party’s Good: The Life and Legacy of Baseball Executive Harry Dalton — Brewers ALCS Championship GM
Lee C. Kluck is a Wisconsin sports historian and frequent contributor to the Society for American Baseball Research. His first book, Leave While the Party’s Good: The Life and Legacy of Baseball Executive Harry Dalton, was named a finalist for the 2025 Seymour Medal, one of the top honors in baseball literature. The book tells the story of Dalton, architect of the Milwaukee Brewers’ only American League pennant in 1982 and a front-office career that also included stops with the Baltimore Orioles and California Angels. Kluck will share the story of the man many consider the first modern baseball executive.
The Bend Sessions Community Lecture Series runs from August 10th through November 17th and is a FREE event open to the public, however registration is requested.

The Bend is an experience venue in downtown West Bend, WI. Built in 1929 as a Vaudeville theatre building, The Bend was restored by the nonprofit organization Historic West Bend Theatre Inc in 2020.
