The Bunker Performance Lounge & Cafe welcomes a night of original music rooted in storytelling, intimacy, and the wide range of Canadian folk and Americana traditions.
York Street Thought Process
York Street Thought Process is a charming folk duo made up of Jaron Camp and Rachael Frankruyter. The duo has captured the hearts of audiences across Canada with their playful approach to folk music, blending strong storytelling with improvisation. A year after the release of their debut album Roots, the duo ventured to the East Coast of Canada to record new music in 2023, resulting in their sophomore album Colder. Described as "incredibly well crafted with beautiful harmonies and intricate instrumentation" (CBC, 2024), Colder gained recognition from Exclaim!, CBC, and Stingray, and charted on CHRW, reaching the #2 spot at its highest. The duo celebrated the release with a Southern Ontario tour alongside Wild Bloom in 2024. In 2025, they released their single Dignity and performed across Canada, including the Mariposa Folk Festival (Emerging Artists) and Winnipeg Folk Festival (Young Performer's Program). This summer, York Street Thought Process releases their third album, showcasing the stripped-down, focused, and refined approach to their distinctive duo sound that audiences have come to know from their live performances.
