The Bunker Performance Lounge & Cafe welcomes Barry James Payne & String Bone to the stage, with Amanda & James and Jess Damen, for a pop-up concert of Americana and folk.
Barry James Payne & String Bone
Based in Stratford, Ontario, Barry James Payne leads String Bone, an Americana/Canadiana project that blends folk, alt-country, blues and rock into a genre-defying experience. From a foot-stomping groove to a laid-back shuffle, Payne's music dives deep into real-world stories: hard truths about social injustice, and reflections on love, memory and human resilience.
Known for his work with Celtic-Roots band Rant Maggie Rant and collaborations with some of Canada's finest musicians, Payne brings decades of performance experience and songwriting craft to the stage. His 2009 album nadir has received international acclaim for its lyrical depth and musical integrity.
Amanda & James
Amanda & James are a high-energy Canadian country duo from Southern Ontario with rich harmonies, powerhouse vocals, and a shared love for authentic storytelling. Known for blending good-time anthems with emotionally resonant ballads, their live shows are as heartfelt as they are fun. Think of them as the perfect mix of Blake Shelton charm and Adele-level vocal chops: witty, warm and real.
Jess Damen
Jess Damen, a singer/songwriter from St. Mary's, Ontario, is a Music Industry Arts graduate and former Humber College Jazz Vocal student. Once a part of the touring rock band Blend, Jess now focuses on writing and performing as she re-emerges on the music scene. She has opened shows for Emm Gryner and Barry James Payne, and long ago for the Rheostatics, Train, and Vertical Horizon with Blend.
