Tools, support, and healing for women navigating substance use in their families

When a loved one is struggling with substance use, the weight can feel overwhelming. You’re often holding everything together for everyone else, while your own needs get pushed aside.
This retreat is your chance to step away, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself in a safe and sacred space. You’ll leave with both the inner strength and the practical tools to support your loved one without losing yourself in the process.

What You’ll Experience

  • Bush Craft Therapy with Melissa → Grounding outdoor healing sessions in nature.
  • Group + 1:1 Coaching with Joanne → Guidance and tools to help you rise stronger and create lasting change in your life.
  • Fire Ceremony & Smudging → Release what no longer serves you and step forward with clarity.
  • Community & Connection → A circle of women who understand what you’re walking through.
  • Rest & Recharge → Space to relax and reset — including time in the hot tub.

Healing Hearts With Jo

Hi! I’m Jo.

Healing Hearts with Jo was born out of immense grief and struggle with a few BIG WINS mixed in. If you would have told me 20 years ago that I’d be running support groups and retreats for moms and families affected by addiction, I would have laughed at you.

After walking through the pain and uncertainty of addiction with my loved one, I was determined to find a different way—something that truly helped. What we were doing wasn’t working. Then I discovered the Invitation to Change and CRAFT approach, and it changed everything. It’s a compassionate, evidence-based method for supporting a loved one through substance use—without losing yourself in the process.
