Description

The world is shimmering. Crazy Jane is waiting for you

8 March update. Blech. I tested positive for covid yesterday and feel crummy so this show is postponed. I'm really sorry. I have emailed most of you but will send another note today (8 March). I'm not thinking clearly enough to figure out how to suspend ticket sales. Here is what you need to know:

  • This show will be rescheduled into April.
  • If you've purchased a ticket, that ticket covers the new date and recording OR
  • You can ask for a refund. Not both.
  • If you choose to purchase a ticket anyway, holding a spot for the April date, that's fine.

Thank you for understanding. I'll update as soon as I can think again.

Dare to explore what lies between here and there, then and now, the mad and the sane, adventure and what is yet to come. Stories rich in wonder and magic, madness and mystery, grief and what's left behind. Stories inspired by myth and modern times.

What happens when you combine magical realism, the wonder and menace of fairy tales, a good dash of wild women, the wisdom of Sesame Street and modern street smarts? You get The Adventures of Crazy Jane and Red Haired Annie.

Set in a place that's neither here nor there, a time that's both now and once upon a time, these curious tales will make you laugh, gasp and reconsider how you see the world.

Inspired by authors such as Charles DeLint, Tanith Lee, and Gabriel Garcia Marquez, informed by the strangest folktales and myths, and presented with humor, elegance and a sly wink, The Adventures of Crazy Jane and Red Haired Annie are sure to entertain and inspire.

Storyteller Laura Packer has been telling tales since she began talking. Her original stories for grown-ups and families are based in myth and personal experience. She has won many awards, and is looking forward to sharing this program with you.

The stories we tell matter. Whether we are telling to kids, crafting a presentation for work, preparing for a concert, or something else entirely, what we say and how we say it is important.

Listening matters. When we listen to each other we find understanding and compassion we might otherwise have missed.

Storyteller, coach, and author Laura Packer has 30+ years of experience helping people create and share stories, listen to each other more deeply, and leading organizations and individuals to better stories and deeper self-understanding.. She understands the transformational power of storytelling and listening, and how they help us understand ourselves, each other, and the world.

In addition to her award-winning performance and writing work, Laura is an experienced coach and educator, helping people understand themselves, their stories, and their worlds..
