The Conversation Part 1: The Israeli-Palestinian Conversation is a 4-part play series set within a community-engagement project that addresses topics considered difficult, provocative and controversial, with the aim of finding common ground despite strong conflicting views. The play sparks informed and passionately engaged conversations amongst all in attendance, offering a powerful and unique artistic and socially-engaged experience. The Conversation is a live community event born of the belief that – while we may not be able to fix anything, we certainly cannot fix anything we can’t discuss.

As the war and humanitarian crisis in Gaza escalates, and Israeli hostages are still in captivity, the play gives voice to the conflicting narratives about October 7th, war crimes, Two-State versus One State solutions, America’s role and responsibility, the rise of Antisemitism and Islamophobia, the “us or them” conundrum, ultimately asking, “Do we want to be proven ‘right’ in never-ending arguments; or ‘wise’ in finding urgently needed solutions?”
