Led by culinary instructors from No More Empty Pots, this 4-part weekly workshop series invites youth ages 10–15 to master the scientific art of cooking.
Through hands-on experiments and cooking, students explore the core principles of salt, fat, acid, and heat. Participants learn how these four elements interact to control and balance flavors, developing both technical kitchen proficiency and sensory-based problem-solving confidence.
What Students Will Learn
The Science of Flavor: Master how salt, fat, acid, and heat work together to enhance and balance any dish.
Technical Proficiency: Gain hands-on practice with fundamental cooking techniques, heat control, and prep skills.
Sensory Problem-Solving: Develop the ability to taste critically and adjust ingredients in real-time to fix or improve flavors.
