The Gathering Sessions: Wabi-Sabi Fall Wreaths
with Alison Hoekstra of Taste Poetic
In this quiet, hands-on session, we'll explore the Wabi-Sabi art of Fall wreath-making, a celebration of nature's imperfection and transience.
Working with an organic palette of dried foliage, grasses, strawflowers, and seasonal elements, you'll create a wreath that embraces nature's quiet imperfection. Earthy, raw, and intuitively arranged, each piece becomes a reflection of the season's fleeting beauty.
Rather than striving for perfection, we'll slow down and find beauty in weathered textures, muted tones, and unruly shapes, honoring the shift of the season and the gentle letting go it brings. Whether hung in your home or laid across a table, your finished piece will be a quiet expression of the season's poetry.
Workshops are held at communal tables, offering a welcoming, shared creative space to gather, create, and connect.
Event cost is $25+tax. All materials are included. With three sessions to choose from: 1 PM, 2 PM, and 3 PM, each workshop runs 45 minutes. Kindly arrive 15 minutes before your registered time for check-in.
Workshops are recommended for ages 13+. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The sessions will take place in the Galleria atrium located near Pottery Barn.
Alison Hoekstra is the event styling and set design lead at Taste Poetic, known for her intuitive eye and serene, sculptural compositions. With a background in fine arts and decades of experience in editorial shoots and immersive installations, her work brings depth, elegance, and tactile storytelling to every detail.
