Like any theatre company, we started with a desire to tell a story. With the help of California Stage and a few friends, that desire was met...and Resurrection Theatre Company was born. As the years have passed, a vast bastion of local talent has come into this company, leaving their marks with their performances, lighting, designs, direction, and devotion to the shared human experience of theatre. The love and energy of these people allowed us to present wonderful works of art.

Set on a quiet Midwestern farm, the story follows a couple whose lives are upended when a mysterious visitor arrives, bringing with him the shadows of government secrecy and paranoia. Shepard's gripping play probes the undercurrents of fear and control in modern American life, offering biting commentary on the dangers of blind patriotism and authoritarianism. With its tense atmosphere and sharp humor, The God of Hell is a bold critique of the American Dream unraveling in a time of increasing political and social unrest.
