The Grand Ol’ Americana Show

📣📣 ATTENTION RADIOLAND!!

Don’t touch that dial…and don’t miss The Grand Ol’ Americana Show! It’s the only summer show better than a motel pool off Route 66. 📻🎶

The creators of the 2022 rave-reviewed Grand Ol’ Christmas Show return to the Barnhill Center with a new annual production - The Grand Ol’ Americana Show!!

This raucous, rollicking, red-blooded, holiday-roading, route-66ing, RETRO-RADIO-SHOW is the perfect nostalgic accouterment leading up to your Independence Day festivities with an in-studio-audience live broadcast performance from The Barnhill Center, over the 1776 AM L-B-R-T “Liberty” Radio airwaves. 🎶

🎉A tribute to Summertime in America that will transport you down long floats on lazy rivers and to backyard BBQs by the poolside on hot summer nights under big starry skies lit up by fireworks on the 4th of July.

It’s hosted by Executive Producer Will Hearn and featuring the melodious and side-splitting antics of Dalton Flake, The Liberty Radio Orchestra & Gospel Singers led by the hot swinging sounds of The Dirty River Jazz Band, and our good friends from the trailblazing Americana standout group - Blue Water Highway!

And appearances from all your favorite grand ol’ characters, too, like The 3 Tenors, The Floaters, and of course, The Grand Ol’ Cowboys!

So, come on down to the corner to see Willie and the po’ boys knock your socks off with the music, comedy, and culture that define the American spirit. .

The Barnhill Center
Built-in 1925, in the grand architectural style of Beaux-Arts Classical Revival, the Simon Theatre provided a splendid setting for many theatrical performances, film screenings and ballroom dances. The James Simon family commissioned Houston architect Alfred C. Finn, whose career included designing a number of prominent Houston buildings as well as the San Jacinto Monument, to design the theatre for the community of Brenham. Today, after a meticulous million-plus dollar renovation, the glamour and grand style lives on for future generations in the newly named Barnhill Center at Historic Simon Theatre.
