Description

Join us for the Great Irish Meat Raffle presented by the Cincinnati Gaelic Athletic Association and the Irish Heritage Center of Cincinnati!

We are very excited to partner with the Cincinnati GAA for our first ever meat raffle.

What is a meat raffle and how does it work!?
It's a raffle of meat, of course! After you've arrived at the meat raffle, gotten a beverage, and found a seat at a table for you and yours, the waiting begins.  As the seats fill, the more and more the competition arrives.  Once the emcee takes the mic, welcomes the patrons, and does the introductions - the whirlwind that is a meat raffle starts!
The meat raffle is split into rounds, with 3 spins on a prize wheel (usually with 120 to 240 numbers) per round.  On each spin, meat is won by a lucky attendee in the crowd.  To win a spin, you need a ticket! To get a ticket, you need to buy one from a ticket seller or "runner"! Before each round, the "runners" sell tickets to the round to the crowd.  Some rounds cost $1 per ticket, some cost $3, some cost $5! Each round has different prizes. But to win those prizes, you'll need to buy tickets before each round! Don't worry about bringing singles - you can exchange your real money for "Meat Raffle Bucks" before the raffle begins. Watching and buying a ticket for the first round is also a great way to learn how it works!

All meat will be purchased through local butchers and vendors! Oh - and bring a cooler to bring your winnings home!

Tickets to attend the raffle are $10. There will also be pizza for all attendees to enjoy!

In addition to the meat raffle, there will also be 50/50 splits and basket raffles to participate in.

The IHC Pub will be open for the festivities so make sure you grab a Guinness and join us for the Great Irish Meat Raffle!
