Come join us for a one night only staged reading of ‘The Guys,’ by Anne Nelson at The Flea Theatre, currently under new management, to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of 9/11.
‘The Guys’ is based on a true story which follows the introduction of Nick, a New York Fire Captain, to Joan, an editor, in the wake of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001. Nick seeks Joan’s help to find the strength and eloquence to write the eulogies for the eight members of his team who were killed in the line of duty. Twelve days after these catastrophic events, Nick and Joan meet to honor those lost with compassion, wit, and humanity, and in the process find connection and friendship.
