The Hometown Show is back after a loooooong summer break on Sunday, September 24th at 6:30pm and we are fired up to have Aisha Adams as our very special guest! 🔥🔥🔥
Aisha Adams is the hardworking program developer for the Lenoir-Rhyne Equity and Diversity Institute (LREDI). She is an influencer with a big ‘ole heart for community economic development, championing social change advocates, thought leaders and courageous disruptors. With Aisha’s curriculum and leadership, LREDI has trained equity advocates from several states who understand the importance of creating a culture of longevity and inclusivity in their organizations and communities.
Aisha also somehow finds time to be a serial entrepreneur. She is the founder and CEO of the Aisha Adams Media Group and partner organization Equity Over Everything, which advances equity by closing gaps in entrepreneurship and homeownership in low-resource communities. Her other ventures include the Asheville View, a daytime-style talk show that addresses hot button issues in Asheville, and Nappy Thoughts, a personal blog followed by thousands of people on social media. She also manages the Entrepreneurial Accelerator, a business bootcamp that ties fledgling businesses to community resources. And somewhere in there, she managed to take a nap. 🎤⬇️
We’re gonna get Aisha up on stage at Asheville Pizza & Brewing Co. on Merrimon, and find out about where she comes from. Then, like we always do, we'll have three hysterical local improv troupes — Ginger By Association, LAX-Pats, and Big Cousin — take their answers and turn them into improvised comedy magic, made up before your very eyes! DON’T MISS IT!!
