Argan imagines himself at death’s door and in need of round-the-clock medical treatment – but he’s perfectly healthy! In a desperate attempt to get free health care, he arranges for his daughter to marry a fumbling doctor against her will. Meanwhile, his dishonest second wife is scheming with a lawyer to take all his money! Add a meddling maid servant, her possibly deaf and mute brother, and a truckload of crazy doctors, and you have a recipe for laughs and lunacy!
