Description

After decades in the spotlight Charlotte Palmer is now invisible. For years, all eyes were on her as she appeared in everything from Eastenders, Coronation Street and Prime Suspect 73 to Ab Fab, The Vicar of Dibley and Extras.

But one day she noticed that she was no longer noticed .As far as the world was concerned, it seemed that Charlotte had disappeared.

What had Charlotte done to bring this about? Had she committed a crime? Flouted a social convention making her persona non grata? NO.

She had the nerve to turn 50.

600,000 women turn 50 every day. Surely Charlotte can’t be the only one who feels invisible?

The Invisible Woman (Is not Invisible) is an hilarious and moving ,sometimes angry, exploration of women over 50 who find themselves overlooked, ignored, disregarded, in short, INVISIBLE in all areas of life.

“The Invisible Woman was an absolute joy to present at Courtenay's Old Church Theatre. Charlotte Palmer was a true professional when it came to how she presented the show and was also a very likeable and easy to work with human being. I was thrilled when we sold out two shows. The Invisible Woman is a great, timely show and hit a nerve with our community for sure. I was also pleased with the diversity of the audience who attended. This isn’t just a show for women but also, for anyone who might know a woman; be she their mother, or sister, or partner, friend or daughter. Womanly yes, but Men like it too! Charlotte was willing to take the show into venues that aren’t used to doing theatre, more like folk coffeehouses or folk clubs and in speaking to the other presenters, it was a great experience for all. We sure received lots of appreciation from our audience as well. We will do it again for sure, you should too!" Doug Cox -  Artistic Director - The Old Church Theatre, Courtenay & Vancouver Island Musicfest.

This show was incredibly creative and funny. I learned so much and was so happily surprised by the authentic and heartwarming performance by Charlotte. One instantly feels connected to her and her experience and she does an EXCELLENT job involving the audience in her skit. Her improvisational  comedy was often my favourite part! Kimberly Johnston - Tuff City Radio

"Have a crowd you want pleased? Charlotte will do more than that. She's fully equipped to tickle ribs, hit funny bones, and drop kick a laugh into the furthest vessel of the darkest of hearts. Insightful, heartfelt, and above all....NOT INVISIBLE" Mick Sherlock - Producer - Upstart Events
