The NEW JEWISH MUSIC Series | Inaugural performance
Acclaimed cross-genre violinist and composer Jenny Scheinman brings a world-class ensemble to Columbus, featuring Carmen Staaf (piano), Keith Ganz (guitar), Tony Scherr (bass), and Hamir Atwal (drums).
This performance will feature music from Scheinman's new album inspired by stories of her Jewish grandmother’s remarkable bohemian journey through 1930s Europe — from the wild cabarets of Berlin to the emergence of early jazz taking shape around her.
Thanks to generous donations from presenting partners Capital University Conservatory of Music, A Tribe for Jazz, Temple Israel, and an anonymous donor, tickets are available free of charge.
