Dive into the delicious world of pickling with Rabbi Marcus, better known as Rabbi Pickle, at our hands-on workshop where the Jewish "Art of Preservation" comes to life! Rabbi Marcus brings his keen wit, sharp intellect and tasty ideas to the Kosher Pickle workshop. Discover the rich heritage behind the iconic Kosher Dill as you craft your own custom jar of tangy, crunchy pickles. Uncover the secrets of traditional techniques and explore the deep cultural ties that make these pickles a cherished part of Jewish history. Whether you’re a culinary enthusiast or just love pickles, this is your chance to preserve a piece of history—one jar at a time!

Tickets are $25 per person (includes custom jar of pickles that you will create and take home.)

Rabbi Shmuel Marcus

Rabbi Shmuel Marcus is the spiritual leader of Chabad of Los Alamitos. Also known as "Rabbi Pickle," he has toured the US teaching the "Art of Preservation." He is also the editor of the local and national Chabad Magazine. In his spare time Rabbi Marcus is a singer-songwriter with published music videos that have garnered millions of views. He lives in Rossmoor with his wife Bluma and their children. 

 

The Jewish Food Lab at Wilshire Boulevard Temple is dedicated to celebrating the tastes and traditions of global Jewish food and culture. Grounded in the richness of Jewish experience and history, the Jewish Food Lab strives to create educational and experiential opportunities for all the senses. We are excited for the Jewish Food Lab to become one of the cornerstones of community outreach and programming at Wilshire Boulevard Temple and in LA!
