Rose, a new maid at Winter Manor, doesn't have time for curses. She's taken this job for one reason - a reason she must keep secret at any cost. Unfortunately, the manor is crawling with detectives, because the current lord of the manor - Lucas Winters - is determined to end his family's curse through their powers of deduction. But Rose finds herself drawn to three unconventional detectives that have arrived at the estate: a peppy teen sleuth who seems to be stuck in another era, a precocious ten year old boy and genius junior detective, and an elderly woman who says she's not a detective at all, just a mystery writer.
But when a dead body appears in the main hall, the most abrasive, rude, detective in the manor determines that Rose is the guilty party. Rose must now rely on her new friends - these unconventional lesser detectives - to clear her name and crack the case.
