Crescent City Stage, in partnership with The Josephine, are proud to be a part of the National The Long Christmas Dinner Festival in association with the Thornton Wilder Estate to present a one-night staged reading of his play The Long Christmas Dinner.
Come spend an evening with us as we enjoy a three-course sit down dinner prepared specially by the incredible Dickie Brennan & Co. team with a staged reading of the classic holiday play The Long Christmas Dinner by Thornton Wilder.
Join us starting at 6pm for a cash-bar cocktail, followed by a seated dinner and live performance on the stage. After the performance enjoy conversation and drinks all designed to get you into the holiday spirit.
The reading will feature the talents of Bryan Batt*, Cassie Worley, Jamie Neumann, Jamie Wax*, Doug Spearman, Jarrod Smith*, Eleanor Frederic-Humphrey* and more!
CRESCENT CITY STAGE joins a lineup which contains some of the country’s most acclaimed theaters, all of whom have a recent history with Wilder’s plays (The Public Theater, The Goodman Theater, Seattle Rep, Miami New Drama, Pasadena Playhouse, Rude Mechs) as well as high schools, independent bookstores, and colleges (including Vassar and Yale, where students collaborated to stage the play’s world premiere in 1931).
The Long Christmas Dinner is presented by special arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.
*We wish to express our gratitude to the Performers’ Unions: ACTORS’ EQUITY ASSOCIATION, AMERICAN GUILD OF MUSICAL ARTISTS, AMERICAN GUILD OF VARIETY ARTISTS, and SAG-AFTRA through Theatre Authority, Inc. for their cooperation in permitting the Artists to appear in this program.
