The Nettes is a harmony-infused Americana trio based in Chicago featuring songwriters Alex Fiolek, Kristina Cottone, and Sonya Major. Mostly acoustic, the group fuses soaring melodies, compelling lyricism, and tasteful instrumentation.
Christine Melody is a singer-songwriter and solo artist born and raised on the south-side of Chicago, IL. She made her Official debut in 2016 at a well-known music venue in Berwyn, IL called "Fitzgerald's nightclub" for their annual American Music Festival. Christine has made her rounds around the Chicago Music scene playing at various venues such as Uncommon Ground, Gallery Cabaret, Elbo Room, and many more well-known places in the Chicago land area, she even went on tour and played a few shows with the world-renowned "The Black Opry revue". She has since then come out with two Ep's Monologue of a dead girl's broken heart and If the moment ever comes again which have two very distinct sounds that can be found on all major streaming platforms. Christine has a style that is very much her own; She is a mixture of all things she said "I don't wish to be confined or labeled as one thing; Yes, my roots are very much folk and as a songwriter, I should be able to explore and express myself freely in any genre I see fit. One day I might write a pop song, another day I might write a country song; I guess what I am trying to say is that I think music is very magical and you can't contain magic."
SARA JEAN STEVENS
Sara Jean Stevens writes music for the loners, the hopeless romantics and the dreamers. Songs as dusty and warm as growing up on a horse farm in the flatlands of Illinois. A prolific songwriter, performer, and veteran of the Chicago music scene, Sara Jean is able to play solo or with a full band. She has played rooms like Space in Evanston and Fitzgerald's, and recently opened for Rhett Miller of the Old 97s, and Dead Horses, among many others. She has two EPs slated for 2023, one recorded at Kingsize in Chicago, and the other at Dial Back Sound in Mississippi (Matt Patton of Drive By Truckers).
