If you cannot access the balcony seating via the stairs, you will need to park in Lot 1 for Faculty/Staff (free parking) and use an exterior elevator that will be clearly marked. Join us for the wonderful holiday tradition of The Nutcracker Ballet. We are excited to present the full-length version of the Nutcracker ballet featuring Tchaikovsky's complete score. Follow Clara and her Nutcracker Prince as they travel through the Land of the Snowflakes and on to the Kingdom of the Sugar Plum Fairy where all of the sweets come to life. The run time of the show is two hours with one intermission. Lap-sitters under age 2 may attend for free.
While at the show, visit our unique holiday boutique to finish up your holiday shopping. The boutique - featuring ornaments, nutcrackers, handmade items, stocking stuffers, jewelry, books, toys, and a large variety of sweets - will be open prior to and after the performance, as well as during intermission. Come early for the best selection! All proceeds benefit Festival Ballet Virginia.

Festival Ballet Virginia is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, high quality, pre-professional dance company dedicated to inspiring excellence and infusing passion in dancers and audience members. Festival Ballet Virginia provides the important performing experience necessary to complete our dancers' education. Membership in Festival Ballet Virginia is by audition held each spring. In addition to their class commitment, dancers in Festival Ballet Virginia participate in Performance Workshop classes where they work on choreography, rehearse, and master the techniques necessary for performing.
An important component of Festival Ballet Virginia is an extensive educational approach, providing educational and entertaining outreach programs to our service area schools, through special student performances and through lecture demonstrations designed to introduce children to the art of dance.
