The Friends of Chopin Australia  proudly presents the incredible talents of the home grown Orava Quartet and the Polish pianist Aleksandra Świgut in a program of Chopin, Penderecki, and Kilar.

Performing in Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne as the inaugural Paderewski Tour 2023

This tour commemorates the tour in Australia of Polish pianist and statesman Ignacy Jan Paderewski in 1904, nearly 120 years ago. Paderewski was one of the foremost Chopin interpreters and champions, and edited a complete edition of Chopin's works. He was also Poland's Prime Minister, appointed in 1919, and was one of the signatories to the Treaty of Versailles. Paderewski's tour in Australia was greeted with tremendous public enthusiasm, and he played concerts in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
