The Princess Bride is a storybook adventure with a wink in its eye and a sword in its hand. Framed as a grandfather reading to his skeptical grandson, the tale follows Buttercup, a farm girl turned princess, and Westley, her true love who leaves to seek fortune and returns under the mask of the Dread Pirate Roberts.
Along the way, there are kidnappers with unexpected depth, duels fought with impeccable manners, a giant with a poet’s heart, a Spaniard driven by honor, a scheming prince allergic to sincerity, and enough cliffs, rodents, and miracles to keep destiny busy. Romance, revenge, comedy, and courage braid together into a fairy tale that knows exactly how magical it is and never takes itself too seriously.

The Bend is an experience venue in downtown West Bend, WI. Built in 1929 as a Vaudeville theatre building, The Bend was restored by the nonprofit organization Historic West Bend Theatre Inc in 2020.
