Straight from the heart of East Texas, The Purple Hulls bring incredible musicianship, tight harmonies, heartfelt songwriting, and plenty of personality to the stage. Identical twin sisters Katy Lou and Penny Lea Clark grew up on their family farm before making their way to Levelland, where they studied music. They’re coming back to Levelland, sharing their energetic blend of bluegrass, country, gospel, folk, and Americana with audiences across the U.S. and Europe.

Get ready for an evening of toe-tapping music, beautiful harmonies, great stories, and authentic Texas charm from two performers with a special connection to Levelland.

About: Born and raised on a working family farm in deep East Texas, identical red-headed twins Katy Lou and Penny Lea Clark learned the value of hard work and the goodness of country life, and were blessed to grow up in an environment that cultivated their God-given apt for music. With the love of music and sports in their family blood, it came as little surprise when the twins made their way to play basketball and study music at South Plains College in Levelland, TX. After three years in West Texas, the Clarks moved to the hills of Tennessee, where they quickly gained work touring as backing musicians for various country artists, working for the Grand Ole Opry, and writing songs for Nashville’s biggest publishing company, Sony ATV. After five fruitful years in Music City and the Lord leading them back to their home state, The Purple Hulls continue their travels based from their family farm (where they really grow purple hulls peas!) and for the last twelve years have been sharing their unique and authentic, uplifting, and energetic acoustic-driven music with churches, festivals, and venues across the horizons of America & Europe.

Built in 1928 as a state-of-the-art movie house, the Wallace Theater now serves as Levelland’s premier center for arts, culture, and education. While ongoing historic restorations continue to bring new life to this landmark, the Wallace will host concerts, films, comedy, art shows, private events, and more.

Preservation Fee
A $3.00 preservation fee is included in all non-movie ticketed service fees. This contribution directly supports the ongoing care and preservation of the historic Wallace Theater building—helping ensure that it remains a vibrant home for arts, culture, and community for the next 100 years.

A $1.00 preservation fee is included in all movie event tickets.

*Please note: all ticket service fees include both a processing fee and a preservation fee.

 

Family Seating Policy
For the comfort and safety of all guests:

  • Strollers and car seats are not permitted inside the theater.
  • Children over 1 year of age require their own ticket.
  • Children under 1 year may attend free of charge when seated on a guardian's lap.
  • If a child becomes disruptive during the performance, we reserve the right to ask parents or guardians to step out into the lobby with them until they are settled.

We’re excited to offer three season package tiers this year, giving you the chance to enjoy more shows at a discounted rate. Discounts are applied only when you create your custom package.

*Please Note: Season Packages must be purchased through the Wallace Theater Box Office in order to receive the discount.

Package Tiers

Encore: 7 or more shows = 15% discount*

Spotlight: 5–6 shows = 10% discount*

Premiere: 3–4 shows = 5% discount*

  • All tickets for your selected shows/events must be purchased at the same time to qualify for a package and receive the discount.
  • Discounts apply only to the shows you include in your package.
  • Only Wallace Theater shows are eligible for package discounts.

All ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred.
