Wussow’s Concert Cafe is a locally owned coffeehouse featuring live music, a full espresso bar, homemade seasonal fare, and a fun variety of beer and wine. For over 24 years, Wussow’s has strived to be an inclusive and supportive home for local artists, musicians, writers and everyone in between. We are excited to offer food, beer, tea, and coffee that comes directly from our local community of friends and dreamers. Our stage continues to be the stomping ground for many local musicians and a favorite stop for regional & national touring acts. We love good music, good food, good coffee, and good friends! The next time you’re in the neighboring, stop in and check out what’s cooking in our kitchen and on our stage!
The Rhizomes emerged in 2019 from a conversation in an alley near Chester Park. The four neighbors have been rocking out in neighborhood basements, living rooms and in a Two Harbors bar ever since. Following its 2022 debut at Homegrown, the group has written new songs that explore how not to be a jerk amidst planetary chaos and existential crisis. The musical vibe is singer-songwriter with off-ramps into power-pop and surfadelic. The lineup features Brian Barber on guitar, Emily Gaarder on guitar and keys, Chris Handsone on drums, and David Syring on bass and trumpet.
Breanne Marie broke into the Minnesota music scene as a solo performer with an acoustic guitar and a repertoire of country covers. The success of her first album in 2013 set the stage for the formation of her full-blown backing band The Front Porch Sinners; As a songwriter, Breanne has a sentimental storytelling style with lyrics that speak to the hard times and natural beauty of rust belt communities like Duluth, MN.
