They’re baaaack...

This Halloween, the screams return for a sequel that’s bigger, bolder, and even more killer than the original! Join us October 28 and 29 for The Scream Returns: A Killer Musical Revue, a frightfully fun evening of spine-tingling songs, killer performances, and enough tricks and treats to raise the dead.

 

Like any good horror sequel, expect familiar thrills, unexpected surprises, and a few new screams along the way. Once again summoned from the shadows by Eric Van Tielen, maestro of the macabre and master of the murderous melody, and featuring a cast of killer talent, The Scream Returns is a wickedly entertaining celebration of music, mayhem, and everything we love about Halloween.

And this is one sequel with a very good cause: proceeds benefit Together We Can, an LGBTQ recovery conference providing substance abuse education and celebrating recovery since 1982.

The body count may be higher, but so are the notes. The Scream Returns... and this time, it’s killer.

The Ringwald's mission is to engage diverse audiences through fresh, risk-taking theatrical experiences. Seasons will include productions focusing primarily on newer works, previously un-produced scripts, and innovative interpretations of seasoned classics.

The Ringwald opened our doors to our Ferndale location at 9 Mile & Woodward in May of 2007 with Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy and quickly became a mainstay of Detroit’s theatre community. 

In a newly-formed partnership with Affirmations LGBTQ+ Community Center, The Ringwald will open their new home inside the center in the fall of 2021 after temporarily shutting its doors at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, despite a successful 14 year residency on Woodward and 9 mile.
