Join Plymouth County Entomologist, Blake Dinius, and learn how to decode a firefly’s signals and what can be done to protect them.

 

Hosted by Janice Donovan, curator of the historic Shirley G Cross Wildflower Garden, Blake will explain the mysteries behind the insect’s biology and ecology, including what they’re really doing when they light up our yards at night. He’ll also tell us about threats facing the estimated 170 varieties in North America, as well as how to protect them.

 

PLUS, a bake sale filled with delicious treats, with proceeds going to support the incredible work of Brewster Pollinators.
