Out of the cold northern towns of New Hampshire’s music scene a new sound has been heating things up: The Selectmen, an 8-piece band, will be delivering a high-energy fusion of ska and soul, energized by classic rock n’ roll at the Medallion Opera House inside the Gorham Town Hall.
Initially formed in 2022 as a 4 piece, The Selectmen gradually added members that brought in a diverse array of influences and styles. Through the slow simmer of time and a few name changes(Mid Life Crisis, POP!), the band evolved into “The Selectmen” in January of 2026.
The Selectmen sound is a unique blend of modern and vintage with a musical message that is grounded in catchy hooks and undeniable grooves. Their live performances have earned them a reputation for putting on a raucous and crowd pleasing show that has built a loyal and devoted following.
Whether you are a die-hard ska fan, a lover of classic soul and rock and roll or you just enjoy really good music and good times, The Selectmen are sure to be the soundtrack to your party, road trip or rowdy night out with friends new and old!
