Award winning vocalist, Sharon Sable, is recognized as one of the region’s most beloved interpreters of song with frequent appearances throughout the east coast including her current hometown of Wilmington, DE. She has performed concerts to sold out audiences at Chris' Jazz Cafe, Uptown Performing Arts Center, The Smyrna Opera House, Mainstay Music Hall, in addition to regular performances for The Rittenhouse Hotel, Delaware Friends of Folk, and the South Jersey Jazz Society and more. She has been a featured performer at The Clifford Brown, Sun Valley (ID) and True Blue Jazz Festivals. Her first album, “Love Evermore”, with guitarist E. Shawn Qaissaunee, was released in 2019 and includes arrangements of songs by Dizzy Gillespie, (Mr.) Fred Rogers and Antonio Carlos Jobim. Her most recent album, “Once Upon a Summertime” (with pianist Joe Holt) is a tribute to jazz icon, Blossom Dearie. It was released in ’23 and is receiving critical acclaim. 


 

The Show :
 

With a group of luminary musicians such as these, you will enjoy an unforgettable journey through The Great American Songbook, including Brazilian Bossa Novas, French love songs and jazz arrangements of contemporary popular music, with repertoire ranging from the 1930’s to the 1970’s. Jazz fans are sure to appreciate these fine musicians, but so will those for whom "jazz" may not be so appealing.

Paul Kares

Paul Kares is a nonprofit organization whose mission is dedicated to educating aspiring chefs or musicians, focusing on kids and young adults who show interest and passion for culinary and musical arts. Paul Kares will weave together how these passions could be the foundation for life-long career for young people who are not necessarily college-bound and how they can hone their skills to be a personal chef, sommelier, performer, or all the above. Plus, Paul Kares will get them the tools like musical instruments, knives, etc for the students who can’t afford them and will donate to school systems that need equipment for their classrooms.
